Instagram Stories In WhatsApp
In Instagram news, they are testing a new feature to let Instagrzuam users share Stories directly in WhatsApp.
Why Instagram Stories In WhatsApp Matters For Your Business
In an effort to grow WhatsApp, Instagram is working in letting you share Instagram Stories directly in WhatsApp.
The purpose of this update would be to help you spread your Instagram Stories to other platforms. This one just happens to be owned by Facebook.
As a business, this should be an especially useful feature. Not only do your Instagram Stories that are shared directly from WhatsApp get branded with the Instagram logo, but this also gives you the additional opportunity to reach customers who might be connected with you on WhatsApp, but not on Instagram.
Right now, this feature is in beta and being tested with a limited audience. Hopefully we'll see it launched on WhatsApp very soon.

Facebook Portal Video Chat
In Facebook news, they are launching a video chat device called Facebook Portal.
Why Facebook Portal Matters For Your Business
Facebook is launching Portal, a piece of hardware to compete with Amazon Echo.
As a business, if your business has a strong presence on Facebook, you'll be able to use Facebook Portal to video chat and access other social features using facial recognition.
Right now, Facebook has the device starting at $499, but that could obviously change, since Portal won't be available until
The product won't start launching until late 2018, so we expect pricing to change as Amazon and other competitors launch new products.
Overall, Facebook Portal will be a great gateway to bring people into the Facebook ecosystem. We hope that it also works with Instagram as well as WhatsApp.

Mark Zuckerberg's Personal Challenge For 2018
Also this week, Mark Zuckerberg shared his personal goals for 2018. This year, his goal is to fix Facebook.
Why Mark Zuckerberg's Goal of Fixing Facebook Matters For Your Business
Each year since 2009, Mark Zuckerberg has released a personal challenge.
One year, his goal was to visit every state. Another was to run 365 miles. This year, his goal is to fix Facebook.
As a business, you've obviously hear a lot about fake news, people gaming the News Feed and more.
By making it his personal goal for 2018, this should bode well for business owners who are having trouble getting seen on Facebook and have to relegate to Facebook Ads.

Snapchat Story Growth Stalls
In Snapchat news, Stories have shown zero growth.
Why Slow Growing Snapchat Stories Matters For Your Business
If Snapchat is to monetize their platform and get people to sign-up for their service, they're going to need to make some changes.
Based on leaked data, Snapchat user growth and respective Stories, are facing stiff competition from Instagram.
As a business, Snapchat still has plenty of technology that puts it leaps and bounds ahead of Facebook and Instagram. You'll want to continue to test out Snapchat in your business, but put the focus on Instagram Stories for now, as that seems to be where users are spending the most time for now.
