They will help you build a more engaging live video broadcast. For example, you'll now be able to display more elaborate on-screen graphics during your broadcast. These can be created using tools such as Easil, Canva or Crello and then brought into your Facebook Live broadcast. In addition, you can highlight comments during your lives and even queue up comments, a feature most third-party live streaming tools do not offer. During your Facebook Live, you can show a link during your live video to let viewers know about your website or to help raise money through third-party platforms. You will be able to add a short description, along with a link. Keep in mind that once you add the link, you won't be able to change it during your live video. As a business owner, these new Facebook Live Producer updates should come in handy. You'll only be able to use them if you are running Facebook Live natively. This means you won't be able to use StreamYard, Ecamm or Restream IO. If you need the ability to bring on guests or simulcast, you will want to stick with these live video platforms. To take advantage of these Facebook Live Producer updates, go to Facebook Producer and create your next Facebook Live. You should see on-screen graphics, featured links and commenting in your dashboard. Here are tips that he shared. How Should Businesses Approach Social Media In 2020? With caution... Get a feel for your audience and be cognizant of what they are reacting to and saying in comments. Don't leverage current events for financial gain. Don't hijack hashtags. Pay attention to the images you post and the people in them. Can You Share Three Types of Social Media Experiments Businesses Can Comfortably Run Now? On Facebook the Reach of links is dismal lately. Instead of posting links try posting a photo with the link either in the post or in the comments. You'll want to use a link shortener to track the clicks, however. On Instagram post more stories than feed posts. Mix them up between photos, text, and videos, but post a few per day to stay at the top of the Stories feed. Run polls, ask questions, get input from your followers. Don't rely on the feed so much. On YouTube test variations of your thumbnails. Spruce them up, change up the look, and feel. It seems like a small thing but the thumbnail can be the difference between success and failure on YouTube. Plus it doesn't disrupt followers when testing. How Active Should Businesses Be On Social Media? As active as they can sustain engagement. There is no correct number of times to post for every business on each platform. For some, it's once per day, once per week, but for some, it's 10 times per day, yes even on Facebook. Your analytics should dictate how much you post, not the media. Now if you're in a city that is having say a large spike of COVID cases or riots perhaps you should pull back for a bit and let things calm down. Because your post might get lost in the feeds. In addition to sharing the latest news from this past week, we also highlighted some great social media tools and apps for you to check out. Tools Poll Everywhere The first tool that we have for you this week is Poll Everywhere. Do you need to survey your audience? By gathering feedback, you can gather valuable information to help improve your products and services, as well as the content you produce for your customers. With Poll Everywhere, you can build many types of polls, such as multiple-choice polls, open-ended questions, Q&A, rank order and more. Once you have your poll created, you can activate your poll and share it with your audience, along with the results. Poll Everywhere is available for free. You can upgrade to other plans that add more participants, the ability to create reports and access archived polls and more, starting at $120 per year. Create polls to survey your audience Singular, Live Intelligent Overlays Applied to Your Live Videos The second tool that we have for you this week is Singular. Singular Live makes it easy for you create and control custom overlays for your live video show. With Singular Live, you can quickly create beautiful video overlays and bring them into many popular broadcasts thanks to cloud-based control applications. Here is a look at how to use Singular to bring in live graphics into your live streams. You can download and use Singular for free (with a watermark), or upgrade to Singular Pro for $100 per month. This will remove the watermark, add additional users and more. Create beautiful graphics for your live streams Wrap-up To sum it up, Facebook Live Producer updates will make using Facebook Live, rather than third-party tools, more enticing. You will also be able to bring on live on-screen graphics to liven up your broadcast. Keep in mind, you may not have all of these features rolled out to your account just yet.
