When it’s time for your event to take place, create a new discussion within your Facebook Page’s event.

Tell your attendees what the event will be about.

For example, if you’re using Facebook Live Video for events before a major event, you might use live video to talk about booking a hotel, the schedule of events and so on.

If you’re planning to use live video after an event, you might use Facebook Live Video to talk about where attendees can find the materials, presentations and so forth that were mentioned during an event.

Once you’ve written your event description, be sure to select the “live video” option in order to use Facebook Live Video for events.

Promoting Facebook Events

When you first use Facebook Live Video for events, you might find you don’t have a lot of people attending your event.

When you’re planning out any events, be sure to let your audience know beforehand if you’re going to use any Facebook Live Video for events.

You might want to use live video before the event to answer questions from people who will be attending your event.

Or it could be to livestream the event from your Facebook Page for those who cannot attend.

Regardless, everyone isn’t always on Facebook, so you might need to give them advance notice so that they can plan out their schedule ahead of time so the they can attend or invite others to watch your live video.
