Social Chatter: Social Media Marketing Talk Show - Episode 198 Facebook Top Fan Targeting For Pages In Facebook news, they are rolling out Facebook top fan targeting for Pages. Facebook top fan targeting will enable your Page (if you have over 10,000 fans), to target your top fans with content. In order to use Facebook top fan targeting, you'll need to turn it on under Settings > Facebook Badges > Turn on Top Fan Badges. How To Turn On Facebook Top Fan Targeting On your Facebook Page, go to Settings Next, visit the Facebook Badges section Turn on top fan badges When you go to share a Facebook Page post, you should now see an option to select your top fans to target them with an organic page post. Use Facebook top fan targeting to share exclusive content with your best fans. Why Facebook Top Fan Targeting Matters For Your Business When you use Facebook top fan targeting, your business can share exclusive content that only goes out to your top fans of your Page. One way we would use this is to create Facebook Stories content for your Page and then mention to viewers that you have prepared exclusive content just for your top fans. This can be a way to build up your top fans, which are listed under the community tab on Facebook Pages. Remember, you'll want to make your exclusive content something that fans can't get on your other channels. Get creative. It could be a behind-the-scenes video, extra tips that you share with them and so on. Keep in mind that Facebook top fan targeting won't dramatically improve your Facebook Page organic reach, but if you combine it with Stories, you have a better chance of driving more of your fans back to your Page to check out this new content. Instagram Stories Chat Stickers In Instagram news, they have rolled out Instagram Stories chat stickers. This new feature from Instagram will allow you to share an Instagram Story and add a join chat sticker. When users tap on the sticker, they'll be taken to a private chat on Instagram. Instagram Stories chat stickers are a feature we talked about on e a previous episode of our weekly social media marketing talk show. When someone places a chat sticker on their story, friends can tap on the sticker to request access to the private chat via the direct message inbox. Now that they're finally available, here's how to use Instagram Stories chat stickers. How To Use Instagram Stories Chat Stickers Launch the Instagram app Launch Stories Record a story Tap on the sticker icon Select the chat sticker Name your chat Position your Instagram Stories join chat sticker and send your story Why Instagram Stories Chat Stickers Matter For Your Business When you use the chat stickers in your Instagram Stories, users can drive people to a private chat. If your Instagram Stories are discussing a particular topic, you might want to drive users to a private conversation to answer questions and to further engage with them. To get Instagram Stories chat stickers, update your app from your device's App Store. In the meantime, you can read more about chat stickers here. In Testing: TikTok Interest-Based Advertising In TikTok news, they are testing TikTok interest-based advertising. Right now, they are testing an ad-tools platform with companies such as Chipotle, the San Diego Zoo, the NBA and more. Why TikTok Interest-Based Advertising Matters For Your Business What makes TikTok unique for businesses is that it's based on popularity and not your groups of friends. For example, back in May, Chipotle ran a campaign called the #ChipotleLidFlip challenge that encouraged users to flip a Chipotle container and land it. This campaign garnered 100,000 submissions and over 230 million views. While your business may not be the size of Chipotle, TikTok is adding commenting on videos with a video. Now imagine running a campaign and encouraging users to upload their own video in response. Not only would you have opportunities to engage your audience, but you'll have great exposure for your own personal branding./p> By introducing interest-based targeting, you'll now have a great recipe for success to get your content in-front of the right users on TikTok! Remember, this is in testing, but in the meantime, consider downloading the TikTok app for your platform and look through videos that others have shared or even ones from your competitors. In Testing: WhatsApp Status Sharing In WhatsApp news, they are testing WhatsApp status sharing to Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, Google and more. WhatsApp status sharing to Facebook, Instagram and other channels. Why WhatsApp Status Sharing Matters For Your Business If you're part of the WhatsApp beta program, you'll see new options to share your WhatsApp status update to Facebook Stories, among others. If you have customers you communicate with through WhatsApp, and want to communicate with ones on Facebook or Instagram, you'll have the ability to cross-post across. It won't be an automatic service. Instead, you'll be able to share an update on WhatsApp and then have it also post to another channel. As a business, this can be a time-saving effort. For example, maybe you have a sale that you send to your WhatsApp group and want that same message to go to your Facebook Stories? With just a few taps, you'll be able to communicate this there as well. This will save you time, while making it easier on your customers. This way they won't have to follow you on every platform to keep up with your business. This is currently in testing. In the meantime, you can read more about WhatsApp status sharing to Facebook and Instagram here.
