What this means is that once your favorite third-party tool has implemented these new updates, you can schedule single image and video posts. As you can see, Stories and Reels are not included for now. Why Does the Instagram Content Publishing API Matter For My Business? If you have an Instagram business profile, you may want to schedule out your posts. While you can use Instagram Creator Studio, often times, a Social Media Manager uses one tool for scheduling and account management. Now that businesses can schedule Instagram posts in third-party tools, this will help reduce the need to use multiple tools to manage different Instagram accounts. In turn, this will save you a lot of time when posting to Instagram. We talked with Troy Sandidge about how businesses should approach scheduling content. Here are the tips that he shared. How Often Should A Business Schedule Instagram Posts? At least 50% of posts should be scheduled. Using the Instagram Content Publishing API, will help free up your business to focus on other areas. Don't rely on scheduling Instagram posts as a way to be social. How to Be Present, But Still Leverage New Scheduling Features? Plan, schedule, and plan to return, to engage with your audience. Scheduling Instagram posts still requires you to be active on social media, don't overlook that important part. Set aside time to go back and respond to questions, comments and customers. Tools VidAsk The first tool that we have for you this week is Vidask. Messenger bots can feel impersonal. With VidAsk, you can create powerful videos to answer questions from customers, while using them to ensure your customer has received the help they needed. One great way to use VidAsk, is to record a question for a customer, and instead of relying on typed comments, customers can choose whether they are satisfied, which could lead to more questions. You can also use VidAsk for lead generation, to ensure your customer is being helped, but also moved down the right stage of the funnel for their business. VidAsk is free for up to 20 minutes. Prices range between $0 and $40 per month. Record Q&A videos to engage with your customers Green Screener The second tool that we have for you this week is Green Screener. Do you want to use a green screen to film videos for your social media channels? They can be difficult to light in order to key out the background. With the Green Screener app, you can set up your green screen, and then run the mobile app to see where you need to fix your lighting. This way you ensure your green screen is properly lit, so that you can easily chroma key the background and replace it with something else. Green Screener is an app that will cost you $9.99, but save you time lighting your green screen for videos on Instagram, Facebook and so on. Download Green Screener Wrap-up To sum it up this week, we discussed updates to the Instagram content publishing API. You will be able to schedule Instagram business posts from third-party social media management tools, which will save you a lot of time and help streamline your social media process.
