According to LinkedIn, Creator mode is a profile setting to help you grow your reach and influence. When you enable the new tools for Creator mode, you'll be able to access LinkedIn Live, along with a Newsletter feature that you can use to send out a message to your followers. Think email marketing, except from your LinkedIn Profile. To access the additional tools, you have to first enable Creator Mode on your account. How To Enable LinkedIn Creator Mode When you use Creator mode, the connect button now becomes a follow button. People will be able to see your number of followers on your LinkedIn Profile. You'll also have the ability to have your original content highlighted to other users, and also become eligible to be featured as a suggested creator to follow (increased discoverability). Follow these steps to turn on creator mode. Click the "Me" icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage. Click View profile. Click on Creator mode: Off under Your Dashboard. Click Next on the preview pop-up window. Add topics (hashtags) to indicate the topics you post about the most. Click Save. Follow the prompts to turn on creator mode. When you turn on Creator mode, you can now include hashtag topics on your profile - what you post about most often. This will make it easier for people to decide to follow you based on what you say you often share. Once you've enabled Creator mode on desktop or mobile, you can then turn on Creator tools. Here's how. How to Turn On LinkedIn Creator Tools Creator Tools are being rolled out gradually over the coming months. Not accounts will have them just yet. To use them, you need to first enable them on your Profile. These include LinkedIn Live, and a Newsletter. Keep in mind that even though you may have creator tools, you will still have to be approved for LinkedIn Live and LinkedIn Newsletter access. You can read more about LinkedIn Live Video requirements here. In addition to Live Video on LinkedIn, they're also adding LinkedIn Newsletters. You also need to enable Creator mode, and then make sure you meet the newsletter criteria. Once approved, you can start to send LinkedIn Newsletters. Here are instructions. Sending Newsletters Using Creator Tools With LinkedIn Newsletters, you can engage with your audience about a professional topic on the regular. You can invite your connections or followers to subscribe when you create a newsletter. They'll be able to get notified using push, in-app and email notifications. Anyone who is on LinkedIn can easily discover, read and share your LinkedIn newsletters with others. This can facilitate growing a very large email list rather quickly on the LinkedIn platform. Here's how to create a newsletter. Click Write an article at the top of the homepage. This takes you to the publishing tool. Click Create a newsletter. Add a title, description, publishing cadence, and logo for your newsletter and click Done. Once you have created a newsletter, you’ll see your newsletter title near the upper right corner of the page. If you don’t see the newsletter title, click on the dropdown menu and select the newsletter you want to write in. You can now write the first article for your newsletter. Remember, you can publish up to one article every 24 hours. Once the article is ready to be published, click Publish at the top of the screen. One thing to remember about newsletters in LinkedIn Creator Tools, is that you can only create an maintain one newsletter at a time. To publish a new article in your newsletter, click on "write an article" at the top of the homepage. Why LinkedIn Creator Tools Matter For Your Business A lot of times, people are their business. In the case of LinkedIn Creator Tools, you can use this to talk about the topics you're passionate about, which could be items you share in your business. By doing so, you can build a following, people can learn more about you, and then decide if they want to do business with you. This approach using LinkedIn's new Creator Tools, will help people learn more about who you are, your values, and knowledge, rather than someone hiding behind a logo. While you still have to meet the requirements for LinkedIn Live and LinkedIn Newsletters, these tools should be familiar to you if you're streaming on other social media channels, or sending email newsletters. If you're already paying for an email marketing service such as Aweber, you'll still want to maintain both. Remember, you own your email list. You don't necessarily own the people who subscribe to you on LinkedIn. With these new LinkedIn Creator Tools, you'll have more ways to get your message across, while also growing your presence, and attracting new followers on LinkedIn. Overall, it takes just a few minutes to set up Creator mode and to enable these new Creator tools, so that you can start to broaden your exposure outside of your first level connections on the platform almost instantly. Here are tips she shared. What is Agile Marketing? It is not the tools or the method. It’s about the mindset and what is right for the client. Teams were working together to create processes, programs. When working as a team, it’s about listening to the team and having very frequent meetings to talk about what is working and what is not and supporting one another. Your skills will rise to the top as a team. When you get stuck, your team can help you get unstuck. What does a day look like for a team implementing Agile Marketing? A simple way to get started with the Agile process is to use post-it notes. Figure out which tasks are the most important ones and then look to combine relevant ones. Start with the hardest task first, and pay attention to your "flow" state. This is when you're most creative, productive, etc and play to those strengths. 3 resources to get started with Agile Marketing are? Join our Agile Marketing Network Group.
