Social Chatter: Social Media Marketing Talk Show - Episode 256 Live Shopping From Facebook and Instagram Facebook wants to make it easier for you to shop and sell from their apps, including Instagram and Facebook. This week, Facebook is launching live shopping for Facebook Live and Instagram Live. What this means is that people can more easily discover and buy products via Facebook Shops. Once products have been added to their shop, businesses can "set up a live experience featuring products from their Shop and sell directly from the video." With live shopping, customers can watch a live stream and easily buy products from a Facebook or Instagram Live and checkout right from the app. Why Live Shopping From Facebook Live and Instagram Live Matters For Your Business If you find it hard to drive people who watch your live streams to shop, live shopping is going to be a game-changer. Your business can simply add products to a Facebook Shop ahead of time, and then during your live video on Facebook or Instagram, you can easily direct a user to buy from your shop. The great thing is there is no messy checkout process. If a customer wants to take advantage of live shopping, they can shop right from the app and checkout without leaving it. Live shopping is currently rolling out to all businesses and creators in the United States. Be sure to update your respective Facebook and Instagram apps.
