Social Chatter: Social Media Marketing Talk Show - Episode 346 How to Schedule Facebook Stories and Reels From Desktop This week, we're taking a look at how to schedule Facebook Stories and Reels content. Previously, if you wanted to schedule Stories or Reels content, you had to look at third-party social media management tools. Meta is listening and they're starting to add a way to schedule Facebook Stories and Reels content. To schedule content, you'll need to use Creator Studio. Within Creator Studio, click on Published > Videos. You can then hover over a video to create clips using the "creator clip" button. Alternatively, you can select a video and you'll get an additional button to create clips. At this point, you can select the text from your video that you want to create clips of. If your video is under 20 seconds, you can create and schedule Facebook Stories. Alternatively, if the video is longer, you can create clips. The video player will show a green checkmark next to Stories and Clips when your video content meets these time requirements. From there, you can adjust your videos for Stories and Clips. Once you have your video clips prepared, you'll see a "schedule" button. At this point, you can schedule Facebook Stories and Clips content. Right now, it's best to create Stories and Clips from Creator Studio right after the videos are finished. Here is a look at how to schedule Facebook Stories and Reels content from the desktop. Why You Should Schedule Facebook Stories and Clips Content? Be sure you spend time testing scheduling of Stories and Clips. Don't just create 1-2 Stories or Clips. Instead, test out sharing more on your Page over the course of a month, and then assess whether it makes sense to schedule Facebook Stories or Clips content. As a business owner, scheduling Stories and Reels content can save you a lot of time and make it easier to have content to share on your Page, so consider setting up a system every time you create a new live or pre-recorded video, specifically for creating videos to share with your audience. When you go to schedule Facebook Stories and Reels in Creator Studio, if you don't see how to schedule them, remember, it might not have rolled out to everyone just yet, so check other Pages you manage to see if they have the option. How to Use Google For Business Pages We spoke with Tim Campbell-Smith about using Google for Business Pages. Here are some tips that he shared. Why use Google For Business Pages? Google loves its own tools. Using them can tap into improving search engine placement. Your business can control what users see, rather than fighting against an algorithm. For example, do you have a process for creating videos? At what points do you get stuck? See how you can simplify things. Don’t be afraid to try different tools. How Much Work Is Invovled In Using Google for Business Pages? Not a lot. You could spend 30 minutes per year setting up your account. Be sure to set a reminder to go back and update your business a few times throughout the year. Go back and respond to reviews that users leave about your business. A formula Tim uses for Google for Business Pages is as follows: Thank the person by name Repeat back the compliment Encourage the repeat interaction For example, say you have a pizza shop, and I write a review saying "Ordered dinner last night and it was delicious. Great price too." the response would be "Thanks Tim for your review! We're glad we could get you a delicious dinner at a price you like. See you for dinner next time!"
