You can read more about visual search pins on Pinterest's official blog.
Instagram Tests 3D Touch Ads
This week, Instagram is said to be testing 3D Touch, a feature available on Apple's newest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
This new feature will allow users to peak at a product they find on Instagram and pop open a page to shop from Instagram.
Read more about 3D Touch ads.
Twitter Launches ScratchReel
Over on Twitter, they announced a new feature called ScratchReel.
This feature allows you to scrub through animated GIFs.
Here's an example on how Twitter ScratchReel works.

Facebook Adds Subscribe to Live Mentions
Do you follow a celebrity or public figure on Facebook?
If they are using the Facebook Mentions app, you can now subscribe to their live streams.
Facebook Messenger Magic
Another update from Facebook is a feature called Facebook Messenger photo magic.
It is currently in testing, but the way that it works is it scans your photos you've taken using facial recognition.
You then get notified and prompted to send pics to friends that it identifies.
Tools
In addition to sharing the latest in social media news from this past week, we also highlighted some great tools and apps to check out.
Google Keep
Google Keep is a free note-taking app that works with the Google suite of products.
We would compare it to using Evernote.
Download Google Keep
LinkedIn Lookup
The LinkedIn Lookup app can help you find and contact anyone at your company - even if you're not connected to them.
Download LinkedIn Lookup
Notify by Facebook
Notify by Facebook is an app that notifies you when your favorite news, sports or celebrity channels post new content.
Right now, they mainly support major news sites, but we expect them to add more as the service grows.

@VincentOrleck
That application (Yelp) really helped on our recent cross country road trip to meet business peopel in the heartland.
Loving your shirt Vincent

@EricNeitzel ha! dont hate
@Ross_Quintana
@EricNeitzel full disclosure: me either 🙁

Topic 4: Facebook subscribe to live mentions http://venturebeat.com/2015/11/10/facebook-mentions-gets-a-subscribe-button-to-notify-fans-about-live-streams/
It is old school they are thinking celebrities are what matter on social
What’s up guys?
Product placement is still happening though.
@wagnerbranding yes. A lot of movies this Summer such as Jurassic World.
@socialchefs Exactly.
@wagnerbranding but to what gain?
@wagnerbranding whats up!
@VincentOrleck Hey there!
@VincentOrleck It’s making a brand imprint which is psychological and visceral.
I’m on FB mentions. it’s not all that.
@wagnerbranding is that still the case though? or are people reading it too easily?
@wagnerbranding totally true
start looking at their own customers
So product placement that causes a brand imprint on someone has a likelihood of causing the “I keep hearing about…” syndrome.
I say that because I am a gen x er
Millennials and Gen Z’ers are much more influenced than Gen X’ers.
Most people are very influenced by their peers.
@wagnerbranding im just not sure if that still holds as true as it used to…watching some thing like Back to the Future now is comical because of all the obvious product placement
@VincentOrleck LOL
@wagnerbranding thats a better way to say it! 🙂
@VincentOrleck I see your point. We’ve evolved as a society and consumer base so product placement and celebrity influencers have to be integrated in a much more natural way.
Hey Kristin :]
@ross_quintana It’s definitely not a this or that situation but knowing how to mix the different marketing strategies well.
@Ross_Quintana Preach it! Carry on. =)
Preach one teach one
While other brands are looking at your customers and courting them
Well, that’s quite true that you need to work on keeping your customers and building them in addition to looking for new ones.
Sometimes brands are too focused on the new shiny thing and lose focus on their base.
@wagnerbranding great point!
@wagnerbranding Agreed, if you want to insulate your business against change you have to have loyalty and that is developed through relationships with your customers
Topic 5: Facebook Messenger Magic http://techcrunch.com/2015/11/09/facebook-photo-magic/
Glad I was able to jump in
Tool 1: Google Keep https://www.socialchefs.com/go/google-keep-ios/
Haven’t played with it much but you know if Google makes it the integration is going to be good
@Ross_Quintana agreed!
Tool 2: LinkedIn Lookup https://www.socialchefs.com/go/linkedin-lookup/
@Ross_Quintana It’s okay… I’m an Evernote Geek. Love the integration with LinkedIn, NYT & Wall Street Journal.
What up JS

Such a great point @Ross_Quintana ! I just got chills. =D
@KristinDrysdale I did that
:]
Thanks for the warm welcome @socialchefs
@KristinDrysdale you’re very welcome. Glad to have you on.

WOW! Two screens? You just went to superhero status in my mind @socialchefs . =D
check out doyouevenlist.co
@KristinDrysdale it’s hard to get down that far. Took a little time. Now I have a process I work.

@KristinDrysdale I’ve been really trying to reduce the number of notebooks I have and move more towards tags.
LOL – I’ve got a gaping Evernote green abyss.
@socialchefs YES! With OCR tags are getting more valuable.
Everything needs efficient context
Tool 3: Facebook Notify https://www.socialchefs.com/go/facebook-notify-ios/
I’m glad JS and Kristin are part of my added value to my life category
I’m inventing an aggregator for aggregators.
There’s an app for people with too many apps.
Do you guys have an app telling you about what’s going on in France right now? 60 dead.
But my app shows how Jai Lai relates to Ross.
I used to begin my day in Evernote… This past week I’ve gotten totally sucked into Feedly.
@KristinDrysdale I start my day with Feedly.
Spending a few minutes there to see what is going on.
@KristinDrysdale this article might help with using Feedly https://www.socialchefs.com/how-to-use-feedly-video/
@socialchefs Way cool! Thank you so much!

Do a recap and precap to start the conversation
IF it is Fri I think earlier is better once people are about to get off work I think they tune out
Yep. It’s publicity… And plus people can be prepared and you’re likely to get more in-depth content.
Hey Ross!
Speaking of promos… @jeffsieh is da MAN!
@KristinDrysdale Lol! Thanks Kristin!
@jeffsieh I still want to see a Red Carpet Show for Google HOAs so you can get the reward for best video production. =D
