How to Be Productive With Your Social Media Management Social media can eat up a lot of time. This week, we talked about ways that you can increase your productivity when managing multiple social media accounts. This way you can get more of your time back. Here are the tips that he shared around this topic. How many social media accounts do you manage at one time? I currently manage 86 social media accounts across a variety of different industries. Those accounts range from Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google My Business. The industries vary from locally owned small businesses all the way to national and international franchises. Each of these accounts have anywhere from 2,000 Followers to 100,000 Followers on any number of their accounts. I also do community management for all of them as well. Answering comments, direct messages and social listening to make sure they’re not missing any opportunities to engage with their audience. Do you use any tools to help you manage multiple accounts? Which tools? I do, yes. You’d go mad if you didn’t! I use Agorapulse to do everything these days. Their platform allows me to schedule, post, engage and monitor all the accounts I manage. It’s more than just a scheduling platform. They have great social listening tools as well as stellar reporting features that are highly acclaimed when I send those to the brands I work with. Where do you source other content to share on these accounts? It’s a combination of sources actually. I am on social media all the time so I can keep up with trends, both nationally and locally. I also follow a lot of other brands that are in the same industries to make sure we’re not missing out on anything that wwe could be using for the brands I work with. User Generated Content is also a near endless supply of content you can capitalize on. It doesn't always have to be images or videos their audiences post. It came in the shape of testimonials as well. I believe that many brands miss the mark on highlighting their audience and most dedicated customers by not creating content based around what they have to say about their brand. Pick a good (SEO-rich) name. Create group rules. Write out a marketing strategy, including goals for the community. Research other groups - by joining. Learn the member on-boarding process. Create files and resources to share with group members. Find a moderator, or two, who are willing to help you. Create content! Tool of the Week Exploding Topics This week, we talked about Exploding Topics. Exploding Topics is a tool to help you identify exploding trends before they take off. With Exploding Topics, it analyzes searches, conversations and mentions across the Internet. This can help find emerging trends and help your business launch products, content and more before the trend takes off. If your business is able to identify a trend before others, you can be first to market, or have content already prepared as people start to search for it. This can help to establish you as the industry expert on this trend. Companies such as Apple, Shopify, Slack and more. Exploding Topics is also available in a Pro Standard and Pro Complete version. These add additional reports, access to their trend database, team members and more. Prices start at $47 per month. Find exploding trends before they take off Wrap-up To sum it up this week, we discussed YouTube Super Thanks. With Supers, you now have yet another way to monetize your YouTube channel. Keep in mind that you might be able to earn more money in your business outside of YouTube monetization, such as Super Thanks, by selling online courses, training and one-on-one coaching, so consider testing these options out.
